After a 7-0 victory over St. Mary of the Woods, the women’s soccer team improved their winning streak to five. The Ravens dominated from the start, opening the scoring in the fifth minute and staying aggressive for the duration of the match.
Beverly Tanner recorded a hat trick, while Halley Embree, Maddie Martin, Courtney Maher and Haleigh Ciampa all added one goal each. Tanner’s three goals increased her total to five on the season, one goal more than Emily Buchman for most on the team.
The Ravens totaled 30 shots in the match, 15 in each half. Rebecca Roell, D’Anjrea Allen and Allyson Saylor combined for the clean sheet.
The Ravens will enter conference play with a 5-1-2 record, an improvement over last season’s 4-3 nonconference record. They open conference play on Saturday as the team will travel to Cincinnati. They will take on Mount St. Joseph University at 1 p.m. Mount St. Joseph enters Saturday’s match with a 4-4-1 record.
