Baseball team takes field for first pitch
After a long off-season in which they introduced a new head coach, the baseball team opened their season with a Sunday doubleheader against Baldwin Wallace. Ravens qualify for HCAC tournament
It has been a tumultuous roller-coaster ride of a season for the men’s basketball team. Picked to finish fifth in the HCAC preseason coaches’ poll, the Ravens did just that, winning their last two conference games of the season, earning sole possession of fifth-place in the HCAC and qualifying for the postseason conference tournament. The Ravens hosted their first of three indoor track and field meets on Saturday, welcoming three HCAC foes, one NAIA opponent and an NCAA Division I team into the Kardatzke Wellness Center. Hanover, Manchester, Mount St. Joseph, Lindsay Wilson (NAIA) and Miami of Ohio (Division I) competed against the Ravens in the AU Indoor Invitational. Basketball teams battle injury
The men’s and women’s basketball teams hit the road this weekend to take on conference foe Mount St. Joseph. Both teams have been bitten by the injury bug, leaving their rotations shortened. The Lady Ravens only had eight members of their team in uniform. Six players remain out with injury. The men’s team was missing two of its starters in the frontcout, Brady Ashton and Cole Hartman. Indoor track & field season begins
The HCAC preseason indoor track and field coaches poll has been released. Led by two-time HCAC Field Athlete of the Year and one-time All-American Garrett Cooley, the men’s team is predicted to have a strong season. Conference power Rose-Hulman was the unanimous favorite to win the conference, receiving all 10 first-place votes for a total of 100 points. The AU swim teams traveled to Lexington, KY for a dual meet this past weekend. Ravens drop HCAC doubleheader against Hanover
Excitement permeated throughout O.C. Lewis Gymnasium for Saturday’s HCAC doubleheader between the Ravens and the visiting Hanover College Panthers.
