Last Saturday, the Communication and Design Arts Department hosted “Still Here,” which was the department’s senior art exhibition. The opening ceremony of the exhibit was held from 1-3 p.m. in AU’s Jessie C. Wilson Gallery. The exhibit featured the work of eight seniors, six of whom are design majors, and two who are fine arts majors, meaning that they focus primarily on painting. My favorite “Trumpisms”
The 2016 Presidential election has been nothing short of absurd, and absurd may even be on the humane side. For starters, the GOP nomination started out with 12 candidates at the beginning of the primaries—no, your eyes did not deceive you, I did say 12. The other thing, or shall I say person, that makes this year’s election even more bizarre is a man by the name of Donald Trump. All of this Trump-induced chaos has led to many comical incidents, and I am here to share with you, the lucky reader, … [Read more...]
CAB organizes Life-Sized game night in KWC

The two departments are now in the decision-making process of nailing down subsequent details, such as the name of the new school and where it will be located. In an email that was sent by Dr. Fred Burnett, chair of the department of religious studies, to the students in the Department, the plan is “in its infancy, … [Read more...]
Hoverboards banned over safety concerns
If you planned on riding around in style on your hoverboard from class to class this semester, you’ll have to reconsider. In an email sent before winter break ended, Dean of Students, Dr. Chris Confer, informed all AU students that the use of hoverboards would no longer be permitted on campus until further notice. Hoverboards are two-wheeled, self-balancing, battery-operated electric scooters, and are a fairly recent phenomena in the world of transportation. EBay was said to have sold a … [Read more...]
