Chorale travels south for spring break, performs in several states
AU Chorale spent spring break on tour, this year throughout the Midwest and U.S. South. The performance stops included Atlanta, Georgia; Lake Wales, Florida; Savannah, Georgia; Brunswick, Georgia; Saint Simons Island, Georgia; Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and Cincinnati, Ohio. The University Chorale also performed a concert on campus at the tail end of the tour. John Schwallie, an AU senior Songwriting major, has spent the semester at the Center for Contemporary Music in Nashville. Next Tuesday, the CMC tour will stop by Reardon Auditorium for a performance. Newsboys to visit Reardon on tour in February
The Newsboys will bring their 2017 Love Riot tour to Reardon Auditorium on Saturday, Feb. 4. The Christian band has previously visited AU, along with Hawk Nelson, in the fall of 2015. Power outage update
On Sunday morning shortly before 10 a.m., a transformer blew in the campground. The explosion resulted in power outages throug a few buildings on campus, most notably the Olt Student Center, Tara and South apartments, and Martin Hall. The Anderson University Police Department, physical plant and Food Services worked together to respond aptly to the situation. Junior biochemistry major Ryann Hartzell had the experience of a lifetime this past summer, interning with Spread the Word Ministries, a division of Church of God Ministries, at the Kima Mission Station near Kisumu, Kenya. New admissions director talks boosting enrollment
In January, AU welcomed alumna Kynan Simison as the new director of admissions. Simison attended AU from 1997-1999 and earned her Bachelor of Arts in communications with a focus in public relations.
