Spookiest Haunts to celebrate the season

October 26, 2016 by Megan DeBruyn

With the onset of colder weather, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, and the appearance of blanket scarves and sweaters popping up all over campus, Autumn is in full swing and for me, that means just one thing: Halloween. With my favorite holiday just around the corner, I find that the best way to get into the spooky spirit is by watching horror flicks, Pinterest-ing for quirky costume ideas, and attending every haunted house that I can convince someone to go to with me. Here are just a few of my favorite haunts to encourage you and your witches to drop that PSL and get excited for Halloween!

HAUnted Haus

Location: Rice Hall

Distance from AU: 0 miles

Cost: Free

Hours: October 28 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Quick Facts:

•   A CAB event, this haunted attraction will take place in the vacant halls of Rice, where the ghosts of Rice Hall girls-past might make a guest appearance! Just kidding. But there will be nursing students acting out scenes for the Insane Asylum.

•   The haunt will utilize all three floors of rice, including a carnival, an insane asylum, and a blackout. The floors are intended to get scarier as you move up.

•   There will also be a dance party in the Rice lobby while the haunt is going on.
