Both the men’s and women’s swim teams placed fourth in the HCAC invitational on Saturday. The men scored 20 points, good for a fourth-place tie with Hanover, while the women accumulated 61 points, giving them sole possession of fourth.
Milly Hensley had a big day for the Ravens, winning the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:02.02 and placing third in the 500 yard freestyle at 5:35.30.
The women’s team finished third in the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay. The men also picked up points in two relays, the placing fourth in the 400 freestyle and fifth in the 200 Medley Relay.
The team will next compete on Saturday against both Olivet and Manchester in what will be their final meet of the season.
“We are not the same team heading into our last meet that we were heading into our first,” explained Carson Barteau. “The foundation of the program can be clearly seen at this point.”
Barteau also touched on what it has meant to compete as a member of the first swim team at Anderson University. “It’s not everyday that you get to make history at the collegiate level. I’m proud to be on a dedicated team that is continuing to shape the AU swim program.”
