“Welcome back!” from the staff

August 30, 2017 by Andersonian Staff

For many people, syllabus day means no pressure beyond simply showing up. That’s not the case for the Andersonian staff, all of whom have been hard at work preparing this very paper for several weeks now. I’m beyond excited for another crazy year with another crazy staff as we dig deep for important news that matters to you, fellow students. Get ready, because before you know it, we’ll be saying goodbye for another summer break…

– Nikki Edrington, Editor in Chief

College is such an interesting time that makes us transform as people and become the adults we never thought we would be.  I’m getting rather emotional as I begin my senior year. Who can relate? I’ve seen several Andersonian editors come and go, leaving behind friendship that makes us miss them when they leave. But I’m happy to have those friends and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to learn from them. It’s going to be a big year for all of us, with changes on campus and the constant maturing we’re all prone to. I’m looking forward to it! Best wishes to everyone on campus this year!

– Faith Middleton, Associate Editor

The year I’ve been anxiously anticipating my entire life has finally arrived: my senior year of college. Senior year is brimming with firsts and lasts, and one of those firsts for me is serving this campus as assistant editor for the Andersonian. I can’t think of a better way to conclude my AU adventure than by writing, editing and learning alongside the inspiring and talented people that make up our staff. Maybe the first week of classes is too early to say this, but I have faith that this final year of mine will be the best one yet.

– Noel Marquis, Assistant Editor

Wow, a beginning of another year! It seems like we just left the whirlwind of classes and activities for summer break. Through all the changes that are occurring on campus and the new students that have arrived, I am so excited to see where this year leads. I can’t wait to witness the growth that will occur at AU and squeeze in some chereished memories before another school year passes. Hold on tight, because time is flying.

– Hannah Ader, Copy Editor

It is definitely not a lie when somebody says “college is the best four years of your life.” I can hardly believe I’m halfway done with this crazy journey, but I can’t wait to see what God has in store for AU as a whole this year.  Whether it be covering our athletic teams as they pursue conference championships, cutting up on the IM fields or just kicking back somewhere on campus and enjoying the unbelievable community AU has to offer, there is nowhere else I’d rather spend my final two years of undergrad. God bless, go Ravens!

– Alec Brown, Sports Editor
