On Wednesday, Dec. 3, AU welcomed Kelly Ayotte to campus.

The former senator is an expert on issues of national security and previously served as the first female attorney general for the state of New Hampshire.
Ayotte met with students as a guest in a national security class and in a briefing session with department majors.
A public address was held in Reardon lobby, and she shared stories of her friendship with the late Senator John McCain, her experience as a Republican woman in Congress, the importance of bipartisan leadership and her role as sherpa of Justice Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation process.
