On December 16, President John Pistole released a statement in regards to returning to campus in January.
“Almost two years into this pandemic, Anderson University has implemented a well-established mitigation strategy to protect the health of our community,” Pistole’s email stated. “We have found success in a layered approach that includes testing, contact tracing, vaccinations, and a solid partnership with our local health department that provides mobile support on campus,” he said.
Upon returning to campus after the holiday break, all students, unvaccinated and vaccinated, are required to get tested for COVID-19. Tests must be administered and uploaded between Jan. 8 and 13. Results must be uploaded using the form link found at https://anderson.edu/coronavirus/.
Free testing will be offered Jan. 11-13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Reardon Auditorium lobby. Home tests will also be accepted. Students must upload a screenshot of their results with the name and date administered written on the test prior to uploading the picture.
Masks will be required for the first two weeks of classes with a re-evaluation scheduled for Jan. 28.
Surveillance testing will resume in January and free vaccinations will be available at the mobile unit by Krannert Hall every Monday from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. beginning Jan. 17.
