Dean of Students to leave AU for South Carolina

Dr. Chris Confer has held the position of dean of students at AU for more than four years. In April, he announced his decision to step away from AU and begin the next chapter of his life at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, South Carolina.  At SWU, Confer will serve as vice president of student life rather than as the dean of students.  He will be part of the president’s cabinet and will oversee athletics and police and security.  Though Confer has had no previous … [Read more...]

Spring play explores comedy and romance

As the semester ends and students and professors are counting down the days until summer break arrives, the curtain fell on Byrum stage with its final performance of the season. Students lead worship for Vision Revision

Every semester, AU sets aside a week of chapels for students and faculty to experience Vision Revision. How Christian universities do chapel

Juried exhibit returns to Wilson Gallery

From March 1 to April 5, The Jessie C. Wilson Gallery will host the annual Juried Student Exhibition. The opening reception and award ceremony will take place on Friday, March 1, from 6-8 p.m. This year’s juror is Fred Bower who will give an artist talk during the opening at 7 p.m. Bower’s work will be exhibited along with selected works from visual communications students.
