The AU football team had a tough Saturday afternoon, falling to Franklin 41-7 at Lapel High School in its final home game of the 2025 season.
Albert Rabb was the only scorer for AU, rushing for a 9-yard touchdown with the offensive highlight of the game. Cam Herron led the Ravens with 36 receiving yards. AU struggled statistically as a team, only rushing for 7 yards total and only 80 passing yards. Jake Simpson led the defense with 13 tackles followed by Jaylen Hayes with 11 stops. Brehdyn Clemons added a fumble recovery.
According to AU Sports Information, the team honored its outgoing contributors before the game as part of Senior Day. This included cheerleaders Kyah Crabtree, Sophie Bruce, Meaghan Christiansen, Ella Maiden, Leslie Trask, managers Andrew Geiger, Will Victery and players Adam Dunson, Deitric Johnson, Isaiah Rhodes, Zaire Prioleau, Jake Simpson, Gavin Reners, Jackson Elder, and DeMarco Cooley. The Ravens also celebrated Military Appreciation Day
The Ravens (1-7 overall, 0-4 HCAC) will conclude the season with road contests at Rose-Hulman and Manchester, respectively, the next two weeks.
