It’s time to believe in the women’s basketball team
After an 0-25 record last season and only six returning players, it is hard to find people that will believe in your program. But due to outstanding play by some key freshmen early on, the Ravens find themselves boasting a 4-3 record. Fall season athletes recognized on All-Conference teams
Many Ravens were recognized by the HCAC following the fall season of sports. AU was well represented amongst first team and second team selections, as well as honorable mentions and sportsmanship teams. Men’s soccer senior captain Jacob Pokorski was named to the All-HCAC first team. Pokorski led AU with eight goals and seven assists. Men’s basketball team looks to build on culture of excellence
Last season, the Ravens endured an up-and-down year before heating up at the end, making a run to the HCAC semi-finals. Most college students would jump at the chance to join a club based around watching and discussing movies. Add a dozen other students who are well-versed in the world of film, and you have something truly special. That’s the opportunity that professor Jack Lugar saw in creating a cinema club. Former student sues AU for failure to comply with Title IX
A former AU student has filed a lawsuit against the school for failure to comply with Title IX regulations following the student’s claims of battery and sexual abuse. President John Pistole said of the case: “We take all allegations very seriously. Breaking: Snare resigns as swim coach
Conner Snare has announced his resignation from the position of head men’s and women’s swimming coach. Snare has accepted the position of assistant coach of swimming and diving at Michigan State University and will be leaving AU on Saturday, Nov. 10. After a winless season last year, the women’s basketball program is ready to quiet the doubters and prove to AU that they are a new team. The squad has welcomed 15 freshmen to its roster to pair with eight returning upperclassmen.
