University announces plans to sell radio station
After 27 years on the air with Anderson University, 98.7 The Song, formerly WQME, is for sale. Four full-time employees will be affected by the sale, and the university is currently in discussion with potential buyers. The decision came as part of a long line of program changes in accordance with the university’s new strategic plan. Dr. Robert Nicholson, president emeritus, passes away
Dr. Robert A. Nicholson, president emeritus of Anderson University, has passed away. He was 94. Nicholson served as president of the university from 1983-1990. Prior to his role as president, Nicholson attended Anderson College in the early 1940s and returned to the institution in 1945 to serve as a music instructor. AUPD releases annual crime statistics report
Every year, in accordance with federal regulations, AU Police Department releases a crime report, called the “Jeanne Clery Disclosure of the Campus Security Police and and Campus Crime Statistics,” that includes data from the previous year, Jan. 1 through Dec. 31. Last Friday, Sept. 22, Vice President Mike Pence visited Anderson to promote tax reform. Gospel Choir selected as semi-finalists for Circle of Lights
Anderson University's New Image Gospel Choir has been selected as a top 20 semi-finalist for the 2017 Circle of Lights ceremony presented by IBEW #481. Phoebe Mangas, a senior national security and Spanish major and one of the choir's directors, wanted the Gospel Choir to be involved with Circle of Lights, but wasn't sure if it was possible.
