“White RiverStories,” Mark Dawson short, featured at film fest

On Jan. 14, video storyteller Mark Dawson’s short film “White RiverStories” was featured at the Indiana Forest Alliance’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival that took place at the Buskirk-Chumley Theatre in Bloomington, Indiana. Mark Dawson began his filmmaking career at AU as a mass communications major. Power of the pen: AU students’ poetry to be published

“Poetry is something that demands to be contemplated before, during and after reading it,” said Sam Stimer, a senior English major. “The language and imagery used in poetry forces its way into your mind regardless if you want it to or not. Former CIA director, John Brennan, speaks in York

On Thursday, Jan. 18, former CIA Director John Brennan visited AU. He met with students from a variety of majors throughout the day, fielding questions about his career as a public servant in the CIA. Brennan worked as a CIA agent for 25 years, during which he spent time as an analyst, station chief and, ultimately, director of the agency. Mocha Joe’s promotes campus outreach through new event coordinator

Mocha Joe’s offers much more than just drinks and pastries. An atmosphere that provides comfort and enjoyment for many has become a place of study, work and social endeavors. Traveling Chagall exhibition stops at AU in January

AU’s Wilson Galleries will host the traveling exhibition “Marc Chagall and the Bible” this month. The show features several of Chagall’s lithographs, etchings and crucifixion works. Students and members of the community can view these works and attend lectures on the religious significance of the works and the historical background that influenced Chagall’s subject matter. AU senior reflects on summer spent traveling world

Many students dream about backpacking through Europe and traveling through the wonders of the world, meeting people of other cultures and different backgrounds. Music marketing class preparing to host DJ event this Friday

Throughout this semester, students in Ray Sylvester’s music marketing class have been planning an event featuring a “surprise set list” that would put their marketing knowledge to the test. Student recital to showcase vulnerable work of composition

This November, the AU School of Music, Theatre & Dance is hosting the Student Composers Recital in York Performance Hall. Gallery to feature exhibition emphasizing diverse art forms

The Jessie C. Wilson Gallery in Fine Arts is opening a new exhibition titled “The Profession and Practice of Illustration and Design.” The exhibit will be presented from Nov. 3 through Dec. 5, with an opening reception on Friday, Nov. 10 from 6-7 p.m. The gallery emphasizes diverse artforms and connects illustration and design.
