Rock no longer Ravens’ head football coach

October 18, 2022 by Rebekah Lynn Hisle

Coach Rock will no longer continue as head coach for the AU football team.

Anderson University Football faces an immediate change in staff as Coach Steve Rock will no longer be the head coach of the program. With four games left in the team’s regular season, Jeremy Lochner will be serving as the interim head coach. This new position will be added to Lochner’s previous role as the football Defensive Coordinator.

Rock has been at AU for the past four seasons, the 2022 season beginning his fifth. He had previous experience coaching at Franklin College and various high school teams in Indiana.

In 2019, he led the AU football team to rank sixth in the nation in passing offense and coming in 19th in the nation for total offense. In the spring of 2021, AU’s offense finished fourth in passing among other offense rankings.

More details about the change in coaching staff are coming soon.
