Last spring, the greater Anderson University community learned of Launch 2040 – a long-term strategy plan for the future of AU. Its name comes from the idea that children born in 2022, the year planning began, will be choosing a college in 2040. Heartland International Film Festival to screen cinema professor’s film
With the culmination of a lifetime of dreaming and years of work, "Hellcat,” a story of fatherhood and grief, premieres at the Heartland International Film Festival on October 12. Higher Education reacts to ChatGPT
A newly released form of AI is challenging higher education this year. ChatGPT has the ability to write a copy based off of a prompt it is entered. The answer it gives is nearly untraceable, as it creates an original piece of work based on information it has previously been given. Men’s basketball makes history
The Anderson University Men’s Basketball team is headed to the NCAA Division III national tournament for the first time in the school’s history. The tournament starts this weekend, with 64 teams competing for a national championship. Coach Carter Collins, who is in his first year as interim head coach at AU said that a team needs talent, a little bit of luck and belief to become a national champion team. Women’s basketball off to a speedy start
Jon Gin, Head Women’s Basketball Coach, enters his second year at AU with a young team focused on speed. The team rostered 13 freshmen this year, four upperclassmen and a graduate student for a total of 18 players. “We are young pups, for sure,” Gin said, “But you know, we're energetic because we are so young ... Service clubs taking donations for ‘Socktober’
College Mentors for Kids, Alacritas and AU’s chapter of To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) are taking sock donations as a part of a nationwide donation movement called 'Socktober'.
