The Fall Fest took place on Sept. 13, 2024 in the Smartin courtyard from 7-9 p.m. This event included a bonfire for s’mores, pumpkin painting and candied apples that you could put your own toppings on. An amusement center based in Indianapolis, hosted perhaps the most popular activity: axe throwing by Anarchy Axe Throwing! The event also included a hay area that had hidden free items such as shirts, stickers and more.
CAB member Meaghan Christiansen explained that from what she knows, “Fall Fest is a tradition,” that CAB does along with a wide variety of other events such as the recent Disco, Dancing and Donuts (DD&D). At Homecoming, they also have one or two events that they sponsor there. She went on to say that CAB considered these events traditions, because “they’re a set list of fun events that the staff is given to set up for the community.”
Sarah Loehmer, a freshman who attended the event, stated that this was not the first CAB event she had gone to. She had also gone to DD&D, and she explained that she “loved the games and the food,” and felt that “CAB has done an amazing job” at organizing their events. She said she’s “excited for the future activities they have planned,” and encourages other students to come to these events because of the amazing memories they may make.
Fall Fest was a fun, exciting way to bring the community together. So, the remaining question is what other fun CAB events should students be keeping an eye out for? Meaghan Christiansen motivates students to keep an eye out for Homecoming, as well as a soon to be announced event: a talent show! CAB is very excited to hear all the joy that the Fall Fest has brought, and are excited to give students an opportunity to showcase their talents featuring staff judges that are still to be decided. CAB will be providing more information about the talent show in the future, but for now, the fun times are falling upon us!
