Steven Curtis Chapman: More Than the Music

Reardon Auditorium has hosted many concerts and events, from the famous annual Black Bird Film Festival to the baccalaureate for graduation in the summertime. This Thursday night at 7 p.m. a notable celebrity is returning to the Anderson stage. To celebrate 25 years of his album titled Speechless,  the popular Christian music artist and AU alum Steven Curtis Chapman is coming to sing alongside the La Vie Quartet. Throughout his career, Chapman has been notably celebrated as the most awarded Christian artist in history. From working alongside songwriters like Amy Grant, Casting Crowns, and Gary Levox (of the popular music group Rascal Flatts) in the past, more recently he was also offered the great honor and opportunity to be the first Christian artist inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in November of 2024.

This event was a long time coming and especially with the legacy that Chapman has within Anderson University, from being a student here at the university to becoming a music sensation. His return to AU and the small town of Anderson, Indiana has been long awaited.  As for the price, it varies with where someone would want to sit. If you were to have wanted presale and to solidify your ticket, it would have been close to $100.00 for one ticket. Now that the concert is soon and tickets are selling fast, the price is a little bit different, sitting between $33-$122. This is the perfect event to get not just Anderson University students in their home auditorium of Reardon, but is also a chance for the Anderson community to come to the campus and hear some great, contemporary Christian live music.
