The Anderson men’s and women’s basketball teams both picked up another conference win against Berea on Saturday at O.C Lewis Gymnasium. The AU men’s team beat Berea 91-79, and the women’s team won 72-61. This win moves the men’s team to 15-9, 13-4 in conference play. The women’s team is also now 15-9, and 11-6 in conference play.

For the men’s game, Kenny Troutman led the Ravens in scoring. Troutman had 26 points and 6 three’s in his return after missing the last game due to illness. Elijah Mattingly had another great performance with 17 points and eight rebounds. Other scorers in double digits were Nolan Swan (17) and Bryce Williams (13).

The women’s leading scorer was senior Lauren Smith with a career high of 21 points. She was also 5-8 from the three point line. Victoria Detraz had a very good game as well, with 12 points and 17 rebounds. The Ravens also had great help from Izzy Davis with 14, Sydney Sierota with 13, and Bella Larrison also with 13.

The Ravens men’s team have an opportunity to three-peat the HCAC Regular Season Championship with a win and a Transylvania loss. They can co-champion the HCAC with a win as well. They face off with a game at Bluffton in their final game of the year.

The Ravens women’s team have locked the number 3 seed in the HCAC Women’s Tournament. They are at home against Bluffton Wednesday with the potential to knock them out of the postseason.
