Last week, Vice President Mike Pence came under public criticism for statements he made to The Hill in 2002. The statements, mentioned in a Washington Post profile on Karen Pence, regarded Pence’s take on the “Billy Graham rule”—that is, Pence does not eat alone with a woman who is not his wife and does not attend events without her where alcohol is being served. Chorale travels south for spring break, performs in several states

AU Chorale spent spring break on tour, this year throughout the Midwest and U.S. South. The performance stops included Atlanta, Georgia; Lake Wales, Florida; Savannah, Georgia; Brunswick, Georgia; Saint Simons Island, Georgia; Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and Cincinnati, Ohio. The University Chorale also performed a concert on campus at the tail end of the tour. CMC tour featuring AU student comes to Reardon

John Schwallie, an AU senior Songwriting major, has spent the semester at the Center for Contemporary Music in Nashville. Next Tuesday, the CMC tour will stop by Reardon Auditorium for a performance. Newsboys to visit Reardon on tour in February

The Newsboys will bring their 2017 Love Riot tour to Reardon Auditorium on Saturday, Feb. 4. The Christian band has previously visited AU, along with Hawk Nelson, in the fall of 2015. This time around, Newsboys is set to return with a new performance aspect in tow—a theatrical production titled “God’s Not Dead LIVE! Healthy recipes: stay energized throughout the day

As a college student who is always on the go, balancing classes, work, friends and homework, it can be challenging to find the time to cook and prepare your own meals. However, the health benefits of cooking for yourself may outweigh the inconvenience. Power outage update

On Sunday morning shortly before 10 a.m., a transformer blew in the campground. The explosion resulted in power outages throug a few buildings on campus, most notably the Olt Student Center, Tara and South apartments, and Martin Hall. The Anderson University Police Department, physical plant and Food Services worked together to respond aptly to the situation. Student experiences Kenyan culture through internship

Junior biochemistry major Ryann Hartzell had the experience of a lifetime this past summer, interning with Spread the Word Ministries, a division of Church of God Ministries, at the Kima Mission Station near Kisumu, Kenya. During her time at the mission station, Hartzell had the opportunity to attend classes with diploma and certificate students at the Kima International School of Theology, assist in a clinic, and observe at the mission hospital. New admissions director talks boosting enrollment

In January, AU welcomed alumna Kynan Simison as the new director of admissions. Simison attended AU from 1997-1999 and earned her Bachelor of Arts in communications with a focus in public relations. Previously, Simison has held various positions in higher education, including being a corporate admissions director and campus president.
