Students celebrate Black History Month

Luekenga steps down

Wilson Gallery displays faculty work

Until Feb. 26, the Wilson Gallery in the Krannert Fine Arts Center will be displaying works from four faculty members within the communication and design arts department. These faculty members have juggled full-time teaching positions while maintaining their professional practices outside of the classroom. Dr. Shrock announced as next provost

On June 1, Associate Provost Dr. Joel Shrock will be shortening his long-held title to “provost.” “[It’s] very exciting,” said Shrock. “In fact, when President Pistole called and offered me the job, I probably sounded like an idiot because I thought he was going to talk more about the process. Pres. Pistole receives Bicentennial Medal

“I'm humbled,” said AU President John Pistole. “I’m honored to be part of this.” Recently, Pistole received IU McKinney School of Law’s Bicentennial Medal of “Distinguished and Distinctive Service.” The medal honored IU alumni who are viewed as “models for future students, faculty, alumni and organizations.” Upon graduating from AU in 1978, Pistole attended IU McKinney School of Law and graduated in the spring of 1981. Madison County maintains ‘red’ status as students return to campus

“It’s only been a few days and I have already seen students gathering in large, unmasked groups, as well as complaining about the COVID restrictions,” said senior spanish major Mckala Lindsey. Raven Watch receives national recognition

In the annual College Media Association awards, the Andersonian’s sports program, Raven Watch, was a finalist for “Best Video Sportscast.” In this national contest, AU was one of three finalists, standing alongside Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and California State University. In addition to this honor, Raven Watch was selected as a winner in the annual Indiana Collegiate Press Association (ICPA) awards program earlier this year.
