Kissinger Learning Center undergoes name change
The Kissinger Learning Center has changed its name to the Kissinger Academic Center for Excellence (KACE). The staff have worked hard to prepare for the name change, as well as made changes within the center. Today, Sept. 12, there will be an open house from 1-3 p.m. in the academic center. Enrollment up by more than 10 percent
Preliminary new student enrollment numbers for the fall indicate an almost 12 percent increase in class size from last year—from 420 new students to 470 this year. ITS releases new WiFi network
Information Technology Services has created a new wireless network as the main campus connection. According to Executive Director of ITS, Michael Tucker, the new WiFi, Raven Wireless, has been created to be more secure than the old AUWireless: “Last year we replaced a lot of the wireless equipment. AU adds Bachelor of Science options
A number of new academic programs are making their debut at AU this fall. New majors are available in the Department of Mathematics, the Department of Science and Engineering and in the Falls School of Business. Minors have also been added at the School of Theology and Christian Ministry and at the School of Humanities and Behavioral Science. “Raven Watch” named finalist in national contest
Anderson University’s original sports show “Raven Watch” has been named a finalist in the Sports Video Group national sports-media contest. The Andersonian product will be contending for recognition in the Outstanding Program Series, student-produced media division. AU celebrates 100th commencement
Eighteen students graduated from Anderson Bible Training School in the school’s first commencement on June 6, 1919. First-year enrollment expected to surpass 500 this August
In the coming fall semester, AU is projecting at least a 23 percent increase in first-year enrollment compared to the 2017-2018 academic year. Enrollment in August 2017 included 406 first-year students, and according to Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing Ryon Kaopuiki, current projections estimate at least 500 new students will take to campus this August. “Our goal is to get to 550, which is a very aggressive goal—probably unheard of aggressive,” Kaopuiki said. “We’re pushing … [Read more...]
