Eighteen students graduated from Anderson Bible Training School in the school’s first commencement on June 6, 1919. First-year enrollment expected to surpass 500 this August
In the coming fall semester, AU is projecting at least a 23 percent increase in first-year enrollment compared to the 2017-2018 academic year. Enrollment in August 2017 included 406 first-year students, and according to Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing Ryon Kaopuiki, current projections estimate at least 500 new students will take to campus this August. “Our goal is to get to 550, which is a very aggressive goal—probably unheard of aggressive,” Kaopuiki said. “We’re pushing … [Read more...]
Pistole speaks, students present research at national conference
This year, AU had a special connection with the national Alpha Chi conference held in Portland, Oregon from April 5-7. Five AU students traveled across the country to present their academic research at the conference and to hear a speech by President Pistole, this year’s Distinguished Alpha Chi Alumnus. Jack’s Donuts opens to positive reception
Last week, Jack’s Donuts of Anderson opened within walking distance of campus. Jack’s Donuts first opened in 1961 in New Castle, Indiana. Jack Marcum had been working in a donut shop when he realized that he could just as easily make his own, envisioning a family business that could be passed down through the generations. On Friday, March 9, Victor Mweu and Liam Crays waited to hear the news of whether or not they would be serving as AU’s student body president and vice president during the 2018-19 academic year. Jim Ragsdale settles in as VP for Finance

James Clapper, former director of national intelligence under President Barack Obama, will be holding a public address on campus Wednesday. It’s Vision Revision week on AU’s campus. AU senior, Peyton Bennett, receives Orr Fellowship
Peyton Bennett is a senior visual communication design major from Cincinnati, Ohio, whose career has organically grown out of his studies. Recently, it was announced that Bennett has received a coveted Orr Fellowship. In high school, Bennett was a trumpet player and made the All-State Jazz Band.
