Men’s basketball claims triple-OT victory
One could have bet the house that the Ravens’ 97-94 double overtime victory over Franklin on Jan. 16 would be the most exciting contest of the season for the team. In a normal season, the bettor would have been correct. The Ravens had other plans as they traveled to conference foe Hanover University on Saturday and emerged victorious in triple overtime by a score of 106-100. Last week, AU welcomed former Congressman Pete Hoekstra to campus. Hoekstra, a member of the Republican party from Michigan, served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993-2011. Hoekstra came to AU to speak with students, faculty and the community about foreign policy, the time he spent as a member of Congress, and his reflections on integrating faith into his life.
