Long-vacant campus pastor role filled
The 2021-22 school year has brought about many changes—especially new faculty and staff members. Among them is AU alumnus Josh Tandy, who has assumed the long-vacant position of campus pastor. Tandy graduated from AU in 2006 with a degree in Bible and religion. After graduating, he worked in youth ministry at a small church in Illinois. New COVID-19 campus mask mandate in effect
Just four days after sending a “Fall 2021 Update” email about returning to campus, President Pistole sent another email reading: “Effective immediately, August 10, facial coverings worn over the nose and mouth will be required indoors throughout campus.” The email explains that masks are required by all students, employees, guests, faculty and staff regardless of vaccination status. Upcoming Encore to include a Homecoming twist
Every year, student talent is showcased and celebrated in Encore performances presented by the Avanti Boosters. Students have the opportunity to audition and perform for their peers in Reardon Auditorium with a full band. This year, the 30th Anniversary of Encore, will be extra special. AU to return to “normal” this fall
“Beginning June 1, AU will operate as a fully open campus with no required masking,” read an email from President Pistole sent May 21.
