The Bible Tour concert arrives at AU

Literary arts magazine revamps for April release
The editors of AU’s student-run Literary Arts Magazine have revamped the online magazine to encourage students to publish literary works. “I’m curious to know how people are responding to the types of changes the magazine staff has made and if they think this change has been beneficial or not,” said copyeditor Jordan Schmidt. Student United Way concert raises money for local children
Last Friday night, April 1, Student United Way hosted a concert to benefit the United Way Born Learning program, which promotes the education of children under the age of six in Madison County. The Five Saxes, Luke Stafford and Overtime supplied the entertainment for the evening. Raffle baskets full of items from the community were offered, with a grand prize of dinner with President Pistole. Juried student exhibition opens in Wilson Galleries
Student artwork was cast in the spotlight during this year’s Juried Student Exhibition. Although the opening reception and award ceremony took place on Saturday, Feb. 27, the Exhibition will remain open for viewing until March 24. Sophomore April Bowen joins RAW Artists agency
Sitting in her studio space, April Bowen, a sophomore art and design student, quickly watercolors a flower pattern that will serve as a background on an upcoming calendar she will be producing. Each year, the AU community sets aside one week to focus on recognizing and appreciating all of the different heritages that come together to make our community diverse and unique. AU theatre program performs “Regina”
This weekend, AU will be able to witness to what lengths a woman from the early 20th century will go in order to gain control of her financial life. TWLOHA holds concert for return to campus
Last Saturday evening, Feb. 13, the AU chapter of To Write Love on Her Arms hosted its first event of the semester—a concert in Mocha Joe’s. The free concert, which was titled “LOVEGROOVE,” featured several acts. Krista Baker, president of the AU chapter of TWLOHA, said that the night’s purpose was to bring awareness of the club to campus.
