60 Hours of Prayer gives participants renewed faith

Over the course of 60 hours this past weekend, more than 100 people visited the prayer room in Morrison House in order to pray for AU’s campus. The event was planned by a small group of friends who are “passionate about prayer and seeking God’s heart for their lives personally and for the campus,” said Campus Pastor Tamara Shelton. AU student baptized during Carry The Love event

On Wednesday, April 12, Carry The Love, a ministry team that tours the country worshiping with students on college campuses, stopped at AU for a night of veneration and prayer in Reardon lobby. Enactus wins regional contest, moves on to national

Enactus is an international organization that has created a global community of students, professors and business leaders. College and universities all over the world have Enactus teams, but last week, AU’s chapter of Enactus won their regional competition. Mocha Joe’s under Chartwells control next year

In an effort to respond to feedback from students regarding Mocha Joe’s, AU Food Services has announced that Chartwells will assume the role of managing the coffee shop next year. As a result, Mocha’s will also accept Raven Dollars as a method of payment. Dana Stuart sent an email to the student body outlining the student meal plan options for the 2017-18 school year. CMC tour featuring AU student comes to Reardon

John Schwallie, an AU senior Songwriting major, has spent the semester at the Center for Contemporary Music in Nashville. Next Tuesday, the CMC tour will stop by Reardon Auditorium for a performance. Schwallie is no stranger to the AU music scene, as his band John Louis & the Midwest performed many times on campus, and his more recent project, understatements, gathered hype in the AU community with its release. AU targets new students with increased marketing efforts

AU faculty join initative to close gender gap in higher ed

The gender gap of faculty and staff in higher education is an issue that is becoming increasingly important to women nationwide, but also to women on AU’s campus. Statistically, women make up one quarter of the total amount of college professors, and men outnumber women in the position of college president two to one. Anderson Now aims to stimulate local economy

AU is putting the IDEA-U initiative into action through the Anderson Now project. The project, funded by a Lilly Endowment grant, is aimed at stimulating the local economy with small businesses in Anderson. Through the Anderson Now project, graduates from Indiana universities can apply with a business idea of their own and receive $25,000 in loan forgiveness, guidance from local business owners and AU faculty and staff and shared working space. SGA Elections to take place tomorrow

Tomorrow, students will elect the SGA Student Body President and Vice President for the 2017-18 school year.  The primary, which took place on Feb. 10, resulted in a race between pairs Mitchell Stacy and Olanike Onimole and Hamilton Smith and Victor Mweu. Both duos envision their time in office as a time to improve communication from Administration to the student body. Pistole: AU not meant to be real estate agent

AU administration has begun negotiations with brokers about the possible sale or lease of AU’s space in the Enterprise Flagship center, located off of exit 222 in Anderson.
