The Haven introduces SoNo, fresh Mexican grill
Students wanted change, and AU food services delivered it. SONO has joined Chic-Fil-A as one of the meal options featured in the Haven for the 2016-17 school year. Dr. Strege publishes history of AU to honor centennial
As AU’s centennial approaches, many departments, staff and faculty members are contributing to the festivities in a variety of ways. One of the standouts is a book encompassing AU’s 100 years of history, written by Dr. Merle Strege. Religious departments to come together
Throughout its nearly 100 years, AU has always offered some form of religious studies major. It wasn’t until 1950 when the School of Theology was opened for seminary students. From then on, AU’s Department of Religious Studies and School of Theology operated as two totally separate entities. New admissions director talks boosting enrollment
In January, AU welcomed alumna Kynan Simison as the new director of admissions. Simison attended AU from 1997-1999 and earned her Bachelor of Arts in communications with a focus in public relations. Previously, Simison has held various positions in higher education, including being a corporate admissions director and campus president. Active shooter drill to take place tomorrow
Tomorrow, April 14, there will be a live-action active shooter simulation on campus. The event is scheduled for around 2 p.m. in Decker Hall. Nine police agencies and two fire departments will be participating in the exercise. They will begin setting up the area early in the afternoon, and roads around campus will be shut down around 1 p.m. There will be an officer stationed at every door to Decker reminding people of the exercise. AU Residence Life to host first Raven Run in April

In the last few weeks, Apple has taken their dispute with the federal government to the American public. The dispute is over an iPhone recovered in the San Bernardino shooting last December. Juried student exhibition opens in Wilson Galleries
Student artwork was cast in the spotlight during this year’s Juried Student Exhibition. Although the opening reception and award ceremony took place on Saturday, Feb. 27, the Exhibition will remain open for viewing until March 24.
