Senior spotlight

Sabrina Morrison is a senior exercise science major. She has been playing soccer since she was three years old. When her senior season ended in the fall, she missed the fun and family environment that being on a team offered. A look at lacrosse: What is it?

Last year, the AU athletic program welcomed a new sport: lacrosse. Although many students were interested in the sport, some students may still find themselves asking what exactly the sport is. IMs welcome first esports league in AU history

An increasingly popular esports video game has recently been introduced to AU’s intramural league. EA Sports’ FIFA, which focuses on professional soccer, is now one of four different sports leagues students can be a part of for season three of IMs.   After putting out a Twitter poll for students to vote on what sport they preferred to have in season three, Alex Certain, Laura Batts and Dan Teater began forming what would become the first esports league in AU history.   “We … [Read more...]

Swim teams break records in historic season

As the swim season enters full swing, the men’s team holds a record of 2-4 on the season, and the women’s has split even at 2-2.  Last week for the Raven’s, the women racked up several wins in individual events. Harley and Tallent continue to set school records for the Ravens

All season long AU’s football team has relied on freshman quarterback Tyson Harley and sophomore wide receiver Zac Tallent to provide on offense. Women’s basketball team looks to take the next step

AU women’s basketball is looking to build off a surprising 2018-19 season.  The Lady Ravens went 9-16 (5-13 in conference play) which was a drastic improvement from the year before. The Ravens vastly improved from a winless 2017-18 season. The main cause of the turnaround was a great mix of freshman talent and experienced upperclassmen. Martin aims to become professional disc golfer

MBA student Dom Martin has been playing disc golf since he was in the first grade, but it was one shot he had this summer that changed his life forever.  Originally growing up in Anderson, Martin fell in love with the game of disc golf through his parents.
