The average college band usually forms around a charismatic lead singer, experiments with some grungy garage sounds as a three-piece and then slowly vanishes over the period months after their first EP release. Every so often, however, a group of artists with mutual interests and equal investment manage to turn their talents into an actual following. This is precisely what’s happening with AU bands Dream Chief and The Wldlfe. With an ear to the ground of the industry and some fresh, … [Read more...]

We always try to target a weekend that has a lot going on on campus,” said Trent Palmer, director of student engagements. “We find it works best on a weekend where there’s already a good amount going on around campus to encourage good participation for the … [Read more...]

1952 Andersonian celebrated fall homecoming
On Nov. 5, 1952, the Andersonian published a homecoming-recap-themed issue. Although overall enrollment is slightly down since last year, the class of 2020 is one of the biggest classes to come through AU in past years. That number, accompanied with a 77 percent retention rate for the freshman class, means the Admissions Department and the Enrollment & Marketing team have a good reason to celebrate. “The increase in the fall class is attributable to plain old hard work on the part … [Read more...]
