Nursing program boasts 3rd-best NCLEX scores in state

Over the summer, the AU School of Nursing and Kinesiology received news that 98 percent of the graduating nursing majors of spring 2016 passed NCLEX, the national licensing exam for nurses. Of the 57 accredited nursing programs with testing graduates last spring, AU’s NCLEX passing rate was the third highest in the state of Indiana, behind only IUPUI-Calumet and the University of Southern Indiana. President Pistole declines comment about FBI rumors

President Donald Trump unexpectedly fired FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday. In the hours that followed, AU President John Pistole was named as a potential candidate to replace Comey. Reports have stated that Pistole declined to comment on the rumors. Jon McLaughlin talks family, foundations and faith

Intramural season four nears end with upcoming playoffs

Across campus, the impending summer vacation is evident throughout the student body.  With only two weeks left in the year, the AU Intramural staff is doing their best to ensure the student body wraps up their year on a high note with season four. Counseling Services provides students a support system

60 Hours of Prayer gives participants renewed faith

Over the course of 60 hours this past weekend, more than 100 people visited the prayer room in Morrison House in order to pray for AU’s campus. The event was planned by a small group of friends who are “passionate about prayer and seeking God’s heart for their lives personally and for the campus,” said Campus Pastor Tamara Shelton. AUPD officers: A look inside their career, training and dedication

Early on a Thursday morning in an otherwise-empty Rice Hall, Anderson University Police Department officers point plastic guns at a projector screen and caution the on-screen actors to calm down and lower their weapons. The characters react according to the shouted orders and advance on the officers from all angles—sometimes hoisting an aimed gun. Enactus wins regional contest, moves on to national

Enactus is an international organization that has created a global community of students, professors and business leaders. College and universities all over the world have Enactus teams, but last week, AU’s chapter of Enactus won their regional competition. Is the “Billy Graham rule” respectful or unfair to women?

Last week, Vice President Mike Pence came under public criticism for statements he made to The Hill in 2002. The statements, mentioned in a Washington Post profile on Karen Pence, regarded Pence’s take on the “Billy Graham rule”—that is, Pence does not eat alone with a woman who is not his wife and does not attend events without her where alcohol is being served. Chorale travels south for spring break, performs in several states

AU Chorale spent spring break on tour, this year throughout the Midwest and U.S. South. The performance stops included Atlanta, Georgia; Lake Wales, Florida; Savannah, Georgia; Brunswick, Georgia; Saint Simons Island, Georgia; Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and Cincinnati, Ohio. The University Chorale also performed a concert on campus at the tail end of the tour.
