Record Breakers: Michael Sweigart and Lai’Lonie Thomas
Michael Sweigart and his Impressive AU Career Michael Sweigart is one of the best track athletes in AU history. He is from Alexandria, IN, and is currently a senior at Anderson University, majoring in engineering management. He currently holds a record in the hammer throw (59.94) and has multiple HCAC Throws Athlete of the Week awards and was recently awarded HCAC Athlete of the Meet for throws. Ravens fare well at home indoor track invitational
The Anderson men’s and women’s track and field teams hosted their annual indoor invitational Saturday at the Kardatzke Wellness Center fieldhouse. The collegiate teams competing included Anderson, Earlham, Indiana Kokomo, IU Columbus, Oakland City, St. Francis, St. Mary-of-the-Woods and Union. AU Women’s Basketball prevails over Earlham College
Photos by Reuben Crisler The Anderson Women’s Basketball team defeated the Earlham Quakers 86-74 on Saturday, January 17th. The Ravens improved to 8-7, and 5-4 in conference play, while Earlham dropped to 1-15, and are 0-9 in the conference. In the first two quarters, Earlham maintained the lead most of the time. HCAC Unified Bowling Championship Last week, the Anderson University Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) secured first place in the HCAC Unified Bowling Championship, September 21, at Royal Pin Western in Indianapolis. AU Team 2, which consisted of Hanna Smith, Chris McKee, Lacy Rathbun, Noah Singleton and Jayda Lanham, won second-team all-conference honors for having the second-highest team score of 657 points.
